考非谓语动词的用法
为什么用非谓语动词呢,是因为省略了主语,而这个主语就是主句的主语
也就是说前后两句的主语是一致的,这时才可以省略其中之一的主语而用非谓语动词
比如此题中,这句话还原就是James don't wish to continue his studies and James quitted.前一句的主语和后一句是一样的,都是James
不知你能不能读懂,都是这样的
后一句的意思是James放弃了,前一句意思应该和它是一致的,就是James不想继续学习
想,希望wish,人（James）可以发出这个动作,所以是主动的,用doing（wishing）,否定在前面加not
做这种题只要找到非谓语动词的真正主语,再判断动词与真正主语间的关系,主动用doing,被动用done

be caught doing sth 被抓到做某事
如果你不知道这个短语,你也可以这样想
主语是The boy ,而这个主语可以发出steal这个动作,所以用doing
多做题,积累点经验就好了
第一道题前面那个主语也应该是james,wish和james是主动关系,所以用doing.表原因.非谓语动词否定都是在最前面加not的,所以答案是A
同理的第二道题,steal和the boy也是主动关系,所以用doing表示正在偷时被抓了!
