The paper is to analyze the relationship between landform and lightning strike by comparison of Shenzhen's ground elevation data and lightning positioning data.
The research result shows that,
1) Bao'an District and Dapeng Peninsula have more dynamic lightning activity than other areas.
2)The most active & intensive lightning strike area in Shenzhen is peninsula and mountains.Secondly is highland and valley bottom The minimum lightning strike area is plain region.
3)There is no high density of lightning strike in Shenzhen's highest elevation,but it intensively happened in secondary high and low terrain area.
