can本身没有表示虚拟的用法,只不过有某些特定的词如if,wish等出现的句子中需要用could来表示虚拟
can 的用法：
1.表能力 I can type.
2.表示可能性,与其他表推测的词may,must,could,can't,mustn't常作辨析.
3.表示允许 Can I come in?
4.用在疑问或否定句中表示惊异、不相信等.

（4）当条件状语从句表示的行为和主句表示的行为所发生的时间不一致时，动词的形式要根据它所表示的时间作相应调整。如：
If they had worked hard, they would be very tired.(从句说的是过去，主句指的是现在)
